I never meant to start a skincare company.
For years, I’d been quietly formulating my own vitamin C serum in my kitchen - just for me. A woman navigating perimenopause with skin that had rejected everything the beauty industry threw at it. The serums that stung. The retinols that promised transformation but left my barrier in pieces. The 12-step routines that I simply had no time for - and that, I’d later learn, were doing more harm than good.
I wasn’t looking for a gap in the market. I was looking for something that actually worked for my skin at this stage of my life.
Then came the spa day that changed everything.
“What vitamin C serum do you use?” my dermatologist friend asked, noticing my skin.
“I make my own,” I said, almost embarrassed.
“Can I try it?”
